Hello, I’m Gavin, the owner of 11 Acres Doggy Daycare.

Our Story

The 11 Acres land has developed from a barren agricultural field to a natural mixed woodland and wild grass area over the past 10 years, as part of a family rewilding project. This stunning natural adventure playground for dogs, was first home to Wilfy, the family whippet, where he spent his days roaming and watching the land come to life. Since then, Luna the labrador has taken over the reins as CPO (Chief Play Officer).

I graduated from the University of Birmingham obtaining my PhD in biological psychology, and continued into my academic career. However, after spending several years volunteering with Guide Dogs UK looking after and training potential Guide Dogs, I knew my passion was working with dogs.

Since then, I swapped academic education for all things doggy, obtaining qualifications in professional dog daycare, dog behaviour, and canine first aid. I’ve dedicated my time to creating a dog daycare which provides freedom, adventure and the ability to socialise safely with dogs of all breeds.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is to provide the highest standard of care and welfare to all dogs at 11 Acres. Your dog’s safety and wellbeing is our priority, and this has been central as we developed 11 Acres from the initial concept.

It’s important to us that we develop a friendly and transparent relationship with you, as dog owners. All dogs and parents can visit us to see the 11 Acres site, and during daycare, doggy updates are provided so you can see what your furry friends are up to.
